Marilyn J. Fowler, 86, of Silver Lake, passed away at 7:12 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, at her residence.
Marilyn was born on Aug. 27, 1937, in Garrett, the daughter of Cecil Bogear and Helen Hile Bogear. She graduated from Huntington High School with the class of 1955. Marilyn married James Fowler on Dec. 21, 1957, in Marion; he preceded her in death on July 18, 2021.
She retired from Foster-Forbes Glass Co. after many years of service. Marilyn loved to read and watch game shows. She was an IU Basketball fan. Marilyn loved to spend time with her family at their lake house.
Survivors include her son, Cecil Grady Fowler, of Silver Lake; grandson, Andrew Fowler; granddaughter, Angelea Bilbee; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Fowler; father, Cecil Bogear; mother, Helen Bogear; three sisters: Barbara Bogear, Beatrice Randall, Mary Hasty; and brother, Ronnie Bogear.
