Herbert L. Neff, 84, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 18, 1939, in Elkhart County, to Orville Clyde and Mary Jane Weldy Neff.
He is survived by three sisters: Donna Null, of Syracuse; Sheryl Stabler, of Warsaw; and Deanna Ott, of Syracuse. Preceding him in death were his parents, infant sister, Mona Lou Neff; and brothers-in-law: Richard Ott, James Null and Larry Stabler.
Herbert was an Air Force veteran, an avid horse lover and gun collector. He was a member of the People’s Bible Church, Benton. Herbert spent many hours on the road as a truck driver.
Viewing is scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 and one hour prior to an 11 a.m. funeral service, Thursday, Aug. 8, all at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor John Randolph from People’s Bible Church will officiate. A burial will follow at New Paris Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be given to the People’s Bible Church, 68074 U.S. Highway 33, Goshen, IN 46526.
