April 30, 2024 at 6:52 p.m.

Malcolm J. “Mick” Case, 104, son of Susan and Paul Case, Carson City, Mich., passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester.
Malcolm was born on Feb. 6, 1920, and was the second youngest of brothers Alden, Francis and Merle Case. He was the beloved husband of Marie Dailey Case for 77 years and father of Daryl Case, of Ocala, Fla., and Carolyn (Ken) Davidson, of Leesburg; grandchildren: Julie Davidson Harper (Dan), of Syracuse; Jason Davidson, of North Hutchinson Island, Fla.; Kelly Case (Jeff) Williams, of Ceresco, Mich.; Laura Case, of Novi, Mich.; nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Following serving two years in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific, Malcolm went from a Purchasing Dept. agent for Firestone into a sales agent position for Equitable Life Assurance and followed that by representing Benefit Trust Life Insurance Co. Malcolm ended his sales career with Grollier Books servicing school systems and public libraries in Indiana. He was a member of the Trenton, Mich., Kiwanis Club serving a term as president, a member of the Trenton, Mich., Masonic Lodge since 1946, member of the Trenton, Mich., and Leesburg Methodist Church.
Retiring in 1985, found Malcolm and Marie enjoying life on Lake Tippecanoe, Leesburg. Mick’s active lifestyle included bowling, freshwater fishing, hunting, card playing, wood working and golf. However, if the weather brought a little sunshine and a good breeze you could bet he would be found on the water sailing Lake Tippecanoe. Mick was a solid individual as you will ever find and a great role model and mentor for family and friends. We all will miss this man as a father, family and friend.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
