Marshall County Purdue Extension To Offer Guidance About Native Plants
April 23, 2024 at 3:43 p.m.
PLYMOUTH – As spring arrives, many county residents are thinking of renovating and updating their landscaping.
Marshall County District Coordinator Jodie Overmyer would like to offer some guidance about incorporating beautiful native plants in your landscaping benefiting pollinators and wildlife.
Putting the right plant in the right place is even more important when you consider the benefits of these plants as habitat. Beauty and ease of maintenance is always kept in mind when discussing using hardy native species in place of traditional landscape plants like Burning Bush which can cause harm to our environment.
The free presentation will be given on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Marshall County Extension Office, 112 W. Jefferson, Room 304, Plymouth.
With questions, contact Overmyer at 574-936-2024, extension 3, or Tim Kroeker or 260-766-1104.
