Kosciusko County Community Foundation recently received re-accreditation with the nation’s highest standard for philanthropic excellence.
Community Foundations National Standards establish legal, ethical and effective practices for community foundations across the United States.
“Meeting the National Standards benchmarks is a comprehensive process,” said Stephanie Overbey, CEO of the Community Foundation. “This accreditation is a significant accomplishment that demonstrates our commitment to transparency, quality, integrity, and accountability as we carry out our mission.”
The Community Foundations National Standards program requires community foundations to document their policies for donor services, investments, grantmaking and administration. The program is designed to provide quality assurance to donors, as well as to their legal and financial advisors.
“When people make a charitable request, or establish a fund, they are putting their trust in us. Receiving this accreditation supports that we are committed to philanthropic excellence in the communities we serve and we are honored to receive this recognition,” said Overbey.
