Manchester University Offers Annual Empty Bowls Event

NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester University will host its annual Empty Bowls event on Sunday.
Each year Empty Bowls raises money for a local organization or cause. This year, funds raised will go toward restoring the roof of Manchester's historic Petersime Chapel. The event will be held in the Chapel from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., according to a news release from Manchester University.
Soup will be served in bowls hand painted by Manchester students. The cost is $5 for students and children, $10 for MU colleagues and community members.
In addition to the meal, there will be performances from MU students and faculty. See the schedule below:
1 p.m. MU Student Jazz Combo Set 1
1:30 p.m. Professor Beate Gilliar: Dance and Poetics
2 p.m. MU Student Jazz Combo Set 2
This event is organized by Manchester's Peace Studies Institute.
