April 18, 2024 at 5:25 p.m.

Connie L. LaRue, 80, Claypool, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw.
Connie was born in Warsaw on May 23, 1943, the youngest of four children, to Donald H. and Pauline McFarland Morris. She graduated from Claypool High School with the class of 1961 and went on to attend the International Business College in Fort Wayne and receive her associate’s degree.
In the Methodist Church in Claypool, Connie married David A. LaRue on March 3, 1973, and they shared 51 years of love and laughs.
She worked for Endicott Church Furniture as a secretary for 19 years, and then as a paralegal and office manager for Valentine Miner Lemon Law Offices for 26 years. She would retire in 2010.
Connie was an avid reader, traveled all over the country with David and enjoyed listening to Elvis. They even renewed their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary in the Elvis Chapel in Las Vegas. But what she treasured most was her nieces and nephews and the yearly family reunions.
Connie is survived by her husband, David, of Claypool; her siblings: Marcille Carter, of Alexandria, La.; Richard “Dick” (Sharodene) Morris, of Warsaw; and Don “Bub” (Donna) Morris, of Claypool; and most lovingly missed by her dear nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, Jim Carter; and nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, Connie asks that you write or call someone that you love.
