Mary L. Ulmer, of Winona Lake, passed away at Grace Village on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the age of 98.
One of 11 children, she was born on March 26, 1926, in Martinsville, to Harry and Elizabeth Bennett Mitchell. On Aug. 19, 1943, she married John E. Ulmer in Bryant, Ohio. They celebrated 67 years together until his passing in 2011.
Mary is survived by her three daughters: Diane (Terry) Manley, of Irish Lake; Laura Heathcote, of Toronto, Canada; and Valerie Stiers, of Anderson; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She is further survived by one brother, Jerry Mitchell. In addition to her husband, John, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; six brothers; and companion of 10 years, Jack Horney.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services of North Webster is entrusted with Mary’s care. Per the family’s wishes, no public services are scheduled, and the burial will take place privately at Mock Cemetery, North Webster.
