KLA Cadets Present White Paper Projects At Project Proud
April 10, 2024 at 5:50 p.m.
On Tuesday, the Kosciusko Leadership Academy cadets presented their white paper projects at Lake City University during the annual Project Proud event.
Project titles include “Kosciusko County Heritage Fall Festival,” “Diving Deep Into Kosciusko’s Non-Profits,” “Marketing Campaign for Kosciusko Community Recovery Program,” “We Lead Kosciusko 2.0,” “Safe Spaces” and “Eliminating Library Deserts 2.0.”
One project will be chosen to receive the Northenor Award cash prize of at least $1,000, which will be seed money for the winning project’s launch.
The KLA board thanks Lake City Bank for providing breakfast and the meeting space, and also thanks the panel of judges: Stephanie Overbey, CEO, Kosciusko County Community Foundation; Bob Vitoux, CEO, OrthoWorx; and Warsaw Mayor Jeff Grose.
A standing-room only crowd was on hand to support the KLA cadets. Many community assets and amenities owe their beginnings to KLA whitepaper projects, according to a news release from KLA. All 42 years of whitepaper reports are archived on the KLA website at www.kosciuskoleadership.org.
The Kosciusko Leadership Academy is in its 42nd year of service to the county. As an independent 501-3(c) organization, KLA conducts biweekly morning sessions around the county to expose leaders to a wide variety of local topics and experts. The annual whitepaper projects have yielded many benefits to the citizens of Kosciusko County. For more information, visit www.kocsciuskoleadership.org.
