Kosciusko 4-H Livestock Judging Team

The Kosciusko 4-H Livestock Judging Team competed in the Aksarben National Livestock Judging Contest in Grand Island, Neb., this past week. The team was comprised of Landon Bewley, Carter Grady, Caleb Lechlitner, Libby Haab, McKinley Burton and Haley Nelson. There were 31 teams and 144 individuals in the contest. Team members had to judge 12 classes of cattle, swine, sheep and goats; had to then give four sets of oral reasons and had three sets of questions on classes. The team was fifth high in sheep and goats, third high in beef, eighth high in oral reasons, 11th high in swine and third high team overall. Individually, Bewley was sixth high overall, Lechlitner sixth high in reasons, Bewley 13th high in cattle and Haab 19th high overall. The team is coached by Michael Jones.
