Boys Soccer
Maconaquah at Manchester

Manchester dropped its first Three Rivers Conference game of the season on Monday, falling 2-1 to Maconaquah at home. The Squires are now 10-4-1 this season, 3-1 in the TRC.
Manchester was able to score a goal in the second half, but two in the first half by the Braves were too much for the home side to overcome.
The Squires play their final regular season game Wednesday at North Miami.
Girls Soccer
Manchester at Logansport

Manchester girls soccer is playing its best ball at the right time, defeating Logansport 3-1 on Monday for the team’s fifth win in a row. The Lady Squires are now 10-4 this season.
Brookelynn Buzzard, Ava Sautter and London Spangle were the three Manchester goal scorers. Samantha Shock had an assist while Grace Smith made seven saves in net.
Manchester plays its next game on the road Wednesday at Peru.
Volleyball
Wawasee at Northridge

Wawasee started off strong but was unable to finish off a victory against Northridge Monday evening, falling 3-1 (25-16, 13-25, 9-25, 21-25) on the road. The Lady Warriors are now 8-13 this season, 0-4 in the Northern Lakes Conference, Wawasee will face off against NorthWood next Thursday for its final regular season game.

Warsaw/Wawasee at NLC Championships

The Northern Lakes Conference tennis championships concluded on Saturday, with several local athletes competing in the finals.
Competing in the No. 1 singles championship, Wawasee’s Joey Harper fell 6-3, 6-0 to Goshen’s Pi Wellington. Also representing the Warriors in the championship match was Kane Dukes, who fell 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 2 singles contest.
Warsaw’s Henry Norton made a name for himself over the course of the tournament, as the freshman No. 3 singles competitor won the championship match with a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 win. The No. 2 doubles pairing of Patrick Stump and Caleb Smith finished as runners up in their bracket, falling 6-3, 7-5 in the final match.
Warsaw finished second in the conference while the Warriors finished third. Henry Norton, Charlie Norton and Harper were all selected to the all-conference team.
Wawasee and Warsaw will be competing against each other in the first round of the IHSAA sectional at Warsaw on Wednesday, weather permitting.
