NORTH MANCHESTER— A new era has begun at The Main View, 141 E. Main St., North Manchester, when local businessman Aaron Murray took over as owner.
Longtime owners Robert and Karen Fawcett wanted to exit the hospitality business and wanted the new owner to carry forward the legacy they have built. That’s what Murray is doing, according to a news release from The Main View.
“My focus will be to continue to be known as a strong community member, to build upon the established reputation and brand of The Main View, offering quality food made with quality ingredients, and delivered with a consistent service experience,” Murray said.
Murray has 29 years of experience in retail management and was most recently a store director with Lowe’s Company Inc. in northeastern Indiana. He is a member of Mizpah Shriners of Northeast Indiana, where he serves on the board of directors, and is the business advisor of the restaurant and lounge located within the Mizpah Shrine Center. Additionally, he is the co-founder and president of the GrillMasters Club of the Mizpah Shriners.
Murray’s goal is to expand services at The Main View. The Main View is now open for lunch in addition to its already offered dinner hours five days a week. It will offer both dine-in and carry-out services and feature lunch and dinner specials. In addition to these offerings, Murray plans to provide catering services for businesses, organizations and events in the community yet this year.
Murray said, “My vision is that we will be a valued member of our community with a focus on Main Street and a clear view of the present so we can build for the future.”
Another strength of The Main View is some long-term employees continue to work under the new ownership, providing stability and maintaining relationships with customers, the release states.
The restaurant will continue to use all its current rooms for dining services which include the family dining room, the main bar, and the banquet room.
Current hours of operation: Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and closed Sunday and Monday.
The Main View is a client of the Northeast Indiana Small Business Development Center and received start-up guidance and marketing-related assistance. For more information on The Main View, contact Murray at 260-402-6380, [email protected], or visit the restaurant’s website at themainview.com.
