Boys Soccer
Goshen at Warsaw
Warsaw boys soccer dropped just its second game of the season on Thursday evening, falling 2-0 at home to Goshen. The Tigers are now 11-2-1 this season, 3-2 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
Warsaw will need at least two losses from Northridge and one by Goshen and Concord to have a chance at a share of a conference title. The Tigers allowed one goal in each half.
Warsaw will have a chance to get back into the win column on Saturday when the team takes on Wawasee on the road.
Wawasee at Concord
Wawasee dropped its fourth straight game on Thursday evening, falling 3-0 on the road to Concord. The Warriors are now 3-7-1 this season, 1-3 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
Weston McClintin was very busy in net, making 10 saves for his team despite the loss.
The Warriors will host fellow area team Warsaw on Saturday afternoon.
Lakeland Christian at Tippecanoe Valley
Tippecanoe Valley won its second game in a row on Thursday, defeating Lakeland Christian 1-0 at home on senior night. The Vikings are now 9-4-1 this season, while the Cougars fall to 7-6-1.
The game’s lone goal was scored by Gio Arriaga in the 62nd minute on an assist by Kevin Marr. Braden Weirick was busy in goal once again for LCA, making 14 saves.
Tippy Valley plays its next game Tuesday against Community Baptist, while the Cougars are back in action Thursday evening against Rochester.
Manchester at Fort Wayne South Side
Manchester had its long winning streak snapped by Fort Wayne South Side on Thursday, falling 4-0 on the road. The Squires are now 10-3-1 this season, and will have another chance at getting a win Monday evening at home against Maconaquah.

Plymouth at Wawasee
Wawasee and Plymouth were unable to determine a winner on Thursday night, with the Northern Lakes Conference contest between the two ending in a 0-0 tie. The Lady Warriors are now 1-10-2 this season. Wawasee hosts Warsaw on Saturday morning.
Tippecanoe Valley at South Bend Clay
Tippecanoe Valley was unable to pick up a win in its third game of the week on Thursday, falling 3-1 to South Bend Clay. The Lady Vikings are now 4-7 this season.
The lone Tippecanoe Valley goal was scored by Rylee Thompson.
The Lady Vikings’ next game will be a makeup game against North Miami on Monday.
Volleyball
Manchester at Maconaquah
Manchester volleyball earned its second straight victory on Thursday night, defeating Maconaquah 3-2 (25-22, 25-22, 24-26, 23-25, 15-7) in an incredibly competitive match. The Lady Squires are now 10-11 this season, 5-1 in the Three Rivers Conference.
McKelvey Espeset led the team in kills with 15 and blocks with three. Paxton Baker had 20 digs while Peyton Ream had 40 assists. Hadley West had three aces.
The Lady Squires take on Northfield on the road Tuesday.
Triton at LaVille
Make it 17 wins in a row for Triton, as the Lady Trojans defeated LaVille 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-13) on the road. Triton is now 18-1 this season, 5-0 in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference.
Addyson Viers had 15 kills and 14 digs, both team highs. Lena Doll had three aces while Macy Hensley had seven blocks. Hannah Snyder added 21 assists.
Triton will play at Pioneer on Tuesday. A win in that game will put the Lady Trojans in the driver's seat for a conference title.
Boys Tennis
Warsaw/Wawasee at NLC Championships
The Northern Lakes Conference tennis championships continued at Mishawaka high school on Thursday, with plenty of local athletes competing.
After advancing in all five categories in round one, Warsaw advanced all three of its singles players to the finals on Thursday. No. 1 singles Charlie Norton defeated Wawasee’s Joey Harper 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-0. No. 2 singles competitor Ted Grandon defeated Kane Dukes of the Warriors 6-0, 6-1. Henry Norton also earned a 6-3, 6-3 win in No. 3 singles.
The tournament will conclude on Saturday morning.
