Local High School Sports Recaps For Tuesday, September 19

Volleyball
Fort Wayne Carroll at Warsaw

For the second time this season, Fort Wayne Carroll got the best of Warsaw volleyball, winning 3-0 (8-25, 13-25, 18-25) at home. The Lady Tigers have dropped just two games in their last 15, both to the Chargers. Warsaw is now 15-7.
Maggie Hollon had eight kills to lead her team. Claire Reichenbach had three aces, while Melaina Hawblitzel added eleven digs. Avary Hoeppner had 17 assists.
The Lady Tigers play their next game on Thursday against Northern Lakes Conference foe Wawasee.
Tippecanoe Valley at Culver Academies
Tippecanoe Valley was unable to come away with a road win against Culver Academies Tuesday, falling 3-0 (19-25, 18-25, 18-25). The Lady Vikings are now 14-8 this season.
Colette Blackburn had eight kills to lead the way for Valley. Gaby Gonzalez had 12 kills while Mackaylie Costello had eleven. Avery Wagoner totalled 22 assists while Ava Egolf totalled two blocks.
The Lady Vikings are back in action Saturday morning at the Warsaw Invitational.
Whitko at Wabash
Whitko battled hard to come back from an early deficit, but was unable to pull off the victory in a 3-2 (23-25, 23-25, 25-16, 25-22, 12-15) loss to Wabash on the road. The Lady ‘Cats are now 12-10 this season, 4-2 in the Three Rivers Conference. The team will try to pick up a win Thursday evening at home against Southern Wells.
Winamac at Triton
Triton’s winning streak reached 15 games on Tuesday night, as the Lady Trojans defeated Winamac 3-0 (25-8, 25-13, 25-10) at home. Triton is now 16-1 this season, 4-0 in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference.
Addyson Viers had eleven kills to lead her team once again. Viers also added four blocks. Sierra Hawley had 10 digs, while Hannah Snyder had 16 assists. Lena Doll added four aces.
Triton plays its next game Thursday at LaVille.
Boys Soccer
Goshen at Wawasee

Wawasee dropped its third game in a row Tuesday night, falling 5-1 at home to Goshen. The Warriors are now 3-6-1 this season, 1-2 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
The lone Wawasee goal was scored by Aiden Baugh in the first half, off an assist by Josh Trujillo. Weston McClintin made seven saves in goal.
The Warriors will look to get back in the win column Thursday on the road at Concord.
Girls Soccer
Wawasee at Northridge

Wawasee girls soccer lost its fourth game in a row Tuesday evening, dropping its road game against Northridge 8-0. The Lady Warriors are now 1-10-1 this season, 0-3 in the Northern Lakes Conference. The team’s next opportunity for a win Thursday at home against Plymouth.
North White at Tippecanoe Valley
Tippecanoe Valley continued its strong play as of late, defeating North White 3-0 at home. The Lady Vikings are now 4-6 this season.
The three goal scorers for Tippy Valley were Jimena Ruiz, Juli Ruiz and Rylee Thompson.
The Lady Vikings will look to make it two wins in a row Thursday evening at South Bend Clay.
