PIERCETON – Paragon Medical, a global leader in medical device manufacturing, announced its acquisition of Whimet Inc., a leading metal finishing and fabrication provider.
Whimet Inc. offers a comprehensive suite of services including anodizing, passivation, blasting, electropolishing, laser etch and polishing, according to a provided news release from Paragon Medical.
“For over 50 years, Whimet Inc. has provided world-class metal finishing capabilities with an unwavering commitment to service for our customers. We are pleased to announce the sale of all assets to Paragon Medical, who we feel will continue our mission of delivering high quality products that exceeds customer expectations,” said Chad Whitehead, vice president of Whimet Inc.
The acquisition highlights Paragon Medical’s commitment to expanding its manufacturing capabilities and delivering an integrated supply chain solution to its customers. Paragon Medical has extensive expertise in technologies including implants, surgical instrumentation, cases and trays, single-use disposable devices and more. The addition of Whimet Inc. further strengthens Paragon Medical’s manufacturing capabilities, enabling them to better serve their diverse OEM client base, the release states.
