Cover Crop Field Day Is Wednesday

NAPPANEE - The Marshall County Soil and Water Conservations District and the St. Joseph County Soil and Water Conservation District are sponsoring a free Cover Crop Field Day on Wednesday, Sept. 20 from noon to 3 p.m.
The location is the Glen Schmucker farm at 28892 US 6, Nappanee. The meeting will discuss cover crops and other soil health topics.
Guest speaker is Bryan Overstreet, the northern conservation agronomist for Conservation Cropping Systems Initiative (CCSI), speaking about the benefits of using cover crops, and they will be examining and discussing a field that has been planted with a diverse cover crop mix.
