The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:
• 10:17 a.m. Wednesday - Kathleen Renee Warren, 46, of 3699 N. CR 175E, lot 176, Warsaw, arrested for misdemeanor failure to appear. No bond set.
• 10:43 a.m. Wednesday - Justice Alejandro Ordaz, 22, South Bend, arrested for misdemeanor failure to appear. No bond set.
• 11:21 a.m. Wednesday - Curtis Todd Click, 35, of 469 S. Circle Drive West, Warsaw, arrested for dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death. Bond: $100,500.
• 3:48 p.m. Wednesday - Devin Michael Brown, 31, of 510 S. Graceland Ave., Claypool, arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Bond: $5,250.
• 5:13 p.m. Wednesday - Pedro Castro, 56, of 325 Sophie Lane, Warsaw, arrested for being a habitual traffic violator. Bond: $5,250.
• 8:49 p.m. Wednesday - John Bradly Wood, 29, Kendallville, arrested for possession of stolen property. Bond: $5,250.
• 10:06 p.m. Wednesday - Marco Iran Guzman, 35, of 123 E. Rochester St., Akron, arrested for operating for a motor vehicle while intoxicated, driving a motor vehicle while suspended with a prior suspension, operating a motor vehicle without ever obtaining a license and forgery. Bond: $700.
• 12:39 a.m. Thursday - Jonathan Nocelotl, 26, of 1692 E. CR 200N, lot 204, Warsaw, arrested for operating a motor vehicle without ever obtaining a license. Bond: $500.
• 11:56 a.m. Thursday - Eduard Ortega, 33, Middlebury, arrested for driving a motor vehicle while suspended with a prior suspension. Bond: $450.

• 2:38 p.m. Wednesday - 56 E. Bell Drive, Warsaw. Two-car collision. Drivers: Julie C. Beedy, 56, Plymouth; Tamara C. Chilcutt, 55, Rochester. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

Incidents
• 1:50 p.m. Wednesday - A hit-and-run accident was reported in the 3900 block of Corridor Drive, Warsaw. WPD.
• 4:47 p.m. Wednesday - A person was arrested for being a habitual traffic violator in the 2200 block of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. WPD.
• 10 p.m. Wednesday - A person was arrested for possession of stolen property in the 500 block of West CR 300N, Warsaw. WPD.
• 8:39 p.m. Wednesday - A person was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance and forgery in the 200 block of Argonne Road, Warsaw. Winona Lake Police Department investigated.

Editor, Times-Union: I was reading the Times-Union last Friday and to my surprise there was a paid-for response to a letter I wrote over a week ago. Apparently, our “Letters” colleague from Winona is back critiquing other people’s letters.

For His Birthday
Editor, Times-Union: Donald Trump wants a “big, beautiful” military parade with an estimated cost of around $92 million of taxpayers’ money — the guy who was a Vietnam War draft dodger —the guy who claims our soldiers are suckers and losers — the guy who is cutting VA benefits, services and employees — the guy who aspires to be a king or even a pope rather than just a president — the guy who is a convicted felon, an adjudicated sexual assaulter, and a twice-impeached president. Yeah, that guy. He wants a full-blown military parade to honor himself on his birthday (and maybe the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army and Flag Day a little bit).
