Local High School Sports Recaps For Monday, September 11

Boys Soccer
Wawasee at Bremen
Wawasee was unable to pick up a nonconference win on the road Monday night, falling 7-1 to Bremen. The Warriors are now 3-4-1 this season.
The lone Wawasee goal was scored by Xavier Washington off of an assist by Grant Likens. Weston McClintin made seven saves in net. The Warriors are back in action Wednesday at Columbia City.
Tippecanoe Valley at Culver Community
Tippecanoe Valley found itself back in the win column Monday night after defeating Culver Community 6-1 on the road. The Vikings are now 5-2-1 this fall.
Tippy Valley was led by a hat trick by Gio Arriaga. Eric Eikenberry scored two goals of his own and assisted on another. Carson Craft scored a goal as well. Kevin Marr had two assists.
Valley plays its next game on Wednesday evening on the road against rival Rochester.
Oak Hill at Manchester
Manchester earned its third win in a row on Monday, defeating Oak Hill 2-1 at home. The Squires are now 6-2-1 this season.
Diego Munoz and Nathaniel Miller were the two goal scorers for Manchester. Tyler McLain and Isaiah Acosta each added an assist. Evan McLaughlin was very busy in net, making 12 saves in the win.
Manchester plays its next game on Saturday against Wabash.
Girls Soccer
Fort Wayne Northrop at Warsaw
It was a senior night to remember for the Warsaw girls soccer team, as the Lady Tigers earned a 2-2 draw with Fort Wayne Northrop on Monday. Warsaw is now 5-2-3 this season.
The Lady Tigers played the entire second half with ten players after a foul at the end of the first half. Lola Pepper tied the game late on her second penalty kick goal of the contest.
Warsaw is back at home on Thursday for a nonconference showdown with Penn.
Volleyball
Westview at Wawasee
Wawasee battled hard on Monday but was unable to come away with a win, falling 3-2 (13-25, 25-19, 25-22, 22-25, 10-15) at home. The Warriors are now 6-6 this season and will look to get back into the win column Thursday against Concord.
Triton at Jimtown
Triton volleyball stayed scalding hot on Monday, defeating Jimtown 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-18) on the road for the team’s 12th straight win. The Lady Trojans are now 13-1 this season.
Addyson Viers had 21 kills to lead the team once again. Hannah Snyder had 26 assists while Sierra Hawley had 15 digs. Lena Doll had two aces and two blocks.
Triton plays its next game Thursday against Bethany Christian.
Girls Golf
Tippecanoe Valley at Warsaw
Warsaw girls golf sent its seniors off in style on Monday, defeating Tippecanoe Valley 162-239 on senior day.
Abbey Peterson led the way for the Lady Tigers once again, shooting a 36. Not far behind was senior Olivia Robinson-Gay with a 37. Fellow senior Abigail Davis shot a 44.
Girls golf sectionals begin on Friday.
