The Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County finds itself over capacity and the no-kill shelter needs to find people willing to adopt the cats and dogs housed there.
In information provided by Executive Director Tonya Blanchard, she stated that because they are at maximum capacity, they have lowered their adoption rates for their adult dogs and cats, which make up most of their population.
“We are hoping this will be an incentive for the public to come out and see our available pets, who are more than ready to be adopted into warm and loving homes!” she said. “If you are looking for a ‘purrrfect’ best friend for your family or a senior relative, please stop in and let our staff help you decide on your next ‘furever’ family member!”
The AWL has dogs and cats of many breeds, ages and personalities.
For September only, according to a flyer provided, the adoption fee for adult dogs is $75 (50% off). Each additional dog is $50.
The adoption fee for adult cats is $50, and each additional cat is $25.
The Animal Welfare League, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is at 1048 S. CR 325E, Pierceton. Its phone number is 574-267-3008, and the website address can be found at www.awlwarsaw.com.
An Amazon wish list for the shelter can be found at www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/37W211HLLXIJR/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex
