Warsaw Man Arrested After Friday Crash In Elkhart Co.

A Warsaw man was arrested after a Friday morning three-vehicle crash in Elkhart County in which he and the two other drivers were injured.
According to an Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office crash news release, at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Brandon Ditton, 26, Warsaw, was traveling west in a red 2018 Ford F150 on CR 38 approaching Ind. 19 and failed to stop at the stop sign. The F150 hit the passenger side of a gray 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by Ericka Pattengale, 35, Wakarusa, who was traveling north on Ind. 19.
Ditton’s vehicle then spun in the intersection into the path of a black 2006 Chevrolet HHR, driven by Tammy Douagmala, 52, Goshen, who was going south on Ind. 19. Douagmala’s vehicle then hit Ditton’s truck on the rear driver side.
Ditton was taken to Elkhart General Hospital by EMS for complaint of neck pain, the release states. He was incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail for driving while suspended resulting in bodily injury, according to the news release.
Pattengale took herself to Elkhart General Hospital for leg pain.
Douagmala was taken to Memorial Hospital South Bend by EMS for complaint of abdomen, leg and back pain.
All three drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. All three vehicles sustained disabling damage, the release states.
