“This is a day we've been looking forward to for quite some time,” stated Arjunan Ramachandran, managing director of Texmo Precision Castings, during a celebration event in Warsaw Wednesday.
That celebration was the official announcement that moving forward Texmo Precision Castings and Feinguss Blank are combining into one company — Texmo Blank.
Their new branding carries the theme “Better Together.”
Ramachandran was joined in the announcement by Alexander Lenert, CEO of Feinguss Blank investment casting company.
“We're thrilled to be here. Today is a celebration,” said Ramachandran, who is now managing director of Texmo Blank. Lenert is CEO of the newly branded company.
“As we move forward, we will be Texmo Blank. This is amazing news for everyone involved for all our people, in every one of our locations, and Alex and I are here today to tell you about the acquisition and the exciting opportunities lie ahead for us all,” said Ramachandran.
Both companies started from humble beginnings, have successful relationships, growth within the industry, create innovative products, are international leaders, and set industry benchmarks, created leading products, processes and services, while keeping people at the heart of the company.
Ramachandran stated, “Today, we are embarking on a new journey together.”
Lenert stated he was happy to come back to Indiana again. “We have a lot of work, team work.” Lenert will be CEO of their five locations, including Warsaw. “We see Texmo Blank as one big family across all locations and it is therefore all the more important for us to take all employees with us on our journey to a successful future. Together we will shape Texmo Blank into the world market leader for investment castings.”
With the consolidation of the two companies, there are 1,710 employees over the five locations in Sheffield, England; Riedlingen, Germany; Timisoara, Romania; Coimbatore, India; and Warsaw.
Ramachandran provided a history of Texmo, a company started in 1956 by his grandfather, Ramana Ramaswamy, who began manufacturing electric motors and water pumps. He also reflected back to the purchase of Medcast in 2014, giving Texmo a presence in Warsaw.
The history of Feinguss Blank was also highlighted. The company was started in 1950 by Wilhelm Blank who established a tools sales agency in Riedlingen, Germany, that grew into Feinguss Blank a decade later.
“We are two companies that highly value our people, two companies that have really stood out to taking care of our people,” said Ramachandran. “Today these two companies are embarking on a new journey together.”
Lenert noted the companies are known throughout the world as leaders in their field and never shy away from a challenge. “We are 1,710 different faces spread over three countries, but together we are one big family. The Ramachandran and Blank families are a huge part in getting us here. Their family values keep us focused on what matters and they ensure our profits are used for the progressing of the company,” he said.
Lenert noted the merger will allow Texmo Blank to supply customers on a truly global scale and their social responsibility is not one taken lightly. “We intend to keep growing our initiatives and encourage each of you … you are the reason our customers keep coming back.”
Ramachandran added the vision of the future is a company to be recognized as a technology global supplier. “We have a lot of work to get done in the next couple of years.” He noted the joining of the two businesses is also uniting the people and the skilled workforce. “This transition is an opportunity for all of us.” He said it will create new opportunities in the workforce through connections among colleagues, combining knowledge to expand into new categories relating to supply chains, carrier opportunities and for existing and new employees. “With our multinational footprint … possibility to work multiple locations across the world, cement our position as the global leader within the industry … lead to many more collaboration and opportunities.”
Lenert added the values the merger will bring. He noted five reasons and expanded on each area: international expertise, progressive technology, precisions castings, optimal value and global advantage.
“We must retain our commitment to our customers quality of products paramount, it requires the very best work,” said Lenert. “We are all integral part of their business, our parts keep planes in the sky and trucks on the roads. Our parts allow injured people to walk again. I hope this makes you feel as proud as I do.”
The employees and guests present also heard a video from Juliane Blank, managing director of Blank Holding. The granddaughter of Blank's founder stated, “I am proud that our name will be known world wide … united for a passion of a process making things happen … this creates new opportunities and challenges that we can grow from and get better at day by day. We are better together.”
“This is just the beginning. Texmo Blank starts today in Warsaw … all of you will decide what this chapter is, how it goes and what it looks like. You are the ones writing the next part of our story. Incredible time, incredibly exciting time to be a part of Texmo,” stated Ramachandran.
