Francia Glenn, of Warsaw, passed away on Oct. 17, 2023, at the age of 64.
Francia was born in Chicago, on Dec. 8, 1959. She moved to South Bend in 1973, where she graduated from Riley High School in 1978. Francia graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in electronics.
Fran retired in July of 2022, after working at Indiana Michigan Power for 35 years.
Family and friends will tell you that she was the kindest, most caring and loving person you could meet. There was never a harsh word from her.
In 1987 Fran met her soulmate, Carla Atchison. The couple got married in 2016 and spent 36 years together.
Fran had a great love for music. Her other love was football, the Bears being her favorite team followed by the Rams. She enjoyed the challenge of martial arts as well, carrying the rank of a black belt in karate.
Francia is survived by her loving wife, Carla; sisters-in-law: Christine Atchison, Kathy (Scott) Coverstone, Liza (Randy) Zumalt, Beth Wells; brother-in-law, Mike (Rene) Atchison; nephews: Wes, Michael, Leonard, Bryan, Drew; nieces, Josie, Anabell, Holly; 11 great-nephews, and seven great-nieces.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Marlena Hicks; grandmother, Lilian Porter; nephew, Williams Wells; great-nephew, Korbin Foster; and brother-in-law, William (Rock) Wells.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
