Randy Goon, a hardworking individual who dedicated his life to his career and cherished moments spent with family and friends, passed away on Oct. 16, 2023.
He was born on Aug. 3, 1954, in Kosciusko County, where he remained a lifetime resident. Randy was beloved by those who knew him and will be remembered for his big heart, selflessness and an unforgettable laugh.
Throughout his life, Randy held various positions at Paragon Medical, United Telephone, Othy and several other establishments. He demonstrated great work ethic and dedication in all his endeavors. Randy's commitment to excellence made him a respected employee among his peers.
Outside of work, Randy had a passion for the simple joys of life. He had a deep love for fishing and ice fishing and cherished spending time outdoors. Additionally, he was a true gearhead who found excitement in watching racing events and owned several iconic muscle cars throughout the years. Randy's favorites included the '55 Chevy, Chevy Nova, Oldsmobile 442, Stingray Corvette, among others.
Randy will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his son, Joshua Goon, of Leesburg; daughter, Ashlie (Jeremy) Marvel, of Milford; sister, Nancy (Buzz) Keck, of Ohio; brother, Tim (Amy) Goon, of Warsaw; and grandson, Cayden Goon - the son of Josh. Randy's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. However, the memory of his infectious laughter and caring nature will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Junior and Serita "Maxine" Goon; and by his sister, Sally Goon.
Titus Funeral Home of North Webster is entrusted with Randy's care. A visitation service will be held on Oct. 20 at Titus Funeral Home - North Webster, 8056 E. CR 500N, North Webster, from 4 to 5 p.m. Following the visitation, a Life Celebration funeral will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to K21 Health Foundation's Cancer Care Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
