There Shall Be Wars And Rumors Of Wars

Editor, Times-Union:
How surprising was the Hamas attack from Gaza on the southern part of Israel. Surprise, surprise, surprise! What happened? Israel has formable security, tough and strong intelligence, a diplomatic and experienced prime minister, and rock-hard armed forces that makes surprise attacks and wins wars and the “iron dome.” Now, everything changed over in the Middle East on Saturday morning and now they have a chaotic situation with the Palestinians and the Israelis, and now they are in deep trouble? Are we?
We are just as they are. “Everyone is doing what is right in their eyes.” They were partying at a song festival on the southern border, having a good old time on the Sabbath, right in the feast tabernacles before Yom Kippur! The Israelis were not expecting war. The Palestinians took advantage of their situation. The Dems have said “take advantage of every crisis”; where is that rhetoric now? They have a crisis and so do we. “It is now time to mow the lawn in Gaza.” Do not think that this can’t happen here. Our southern border is wide open, and we are letting through anybody and everybody, mostly middle-aged men. Where is our secure border? In the South? What a joke! Where is our president? Who knows? Where is our speaker of the House?
“Everyone is doing what is right in his own eyes” and we have neglected God. Now who is in deep trouble? Nikky Haley said this war is against Israel and America. She is right. There are nine Americans kills over there, and a thousand Israelis, and many taken hostage. We meddle in their country telling them to divide. And look at our divisions. We have neglected prayer. We have tried to take the splinter out of their eye while the ‘2 by 4’ is in our own eye. Wake up, America! It is time to go back to God. Seek his face! He is our creator and helper. Who is on the Lord’s side?
