The Tippecanoe Valley Football team continued its winning ways against future INSC foe John Glenn Saturday night. The Vikings improved to 8-0 on the season after a 37-14 victory over the Falcons.
The Wrecking Crew was once again stellar against a physically tough Glenn offense. The Vikings held the Falcons to 10 first downs and did not allow them to move the ball on the ground as Glenn had -15 rushing yards. The Falcons found some success in the passing game picking up 212 yards. But that didn't stop Valley from snagging a few picks as Wade Jones was able to walk away with two interceptions and Cameron Mason was able to find one as well.

The start of the first quarter saw the Wrecking Crew get a quick three and out before the offense took their first drive into the endzone thanks to a one-yard rush by Dalton Alber followed by the Overbey PAT. Glenn was able to sneak in a pick six on Valley's next drive but the Vikings answered back with Alber pounding his way into the endzone on the following possession. Overbey's PAT made it 14-6 halfway through the 2nd quarter. After the Mason INT on Glenn's next drive, Valley made their way to the endzone on a drive that included a huge sideline stretch catch from Wade Jones and ended with Eastgate sneaking it into the endzone. Overbey made it 21-6 going into the half.
Scoring in the third quarter started with a safety after Glenn's punter kicked the ball out of the back of the endzone following a botched snap. Valley took advantage of the free points and scored on their next possession as Eastgate used his legs to get his second TD of the night off a 17 yard bootleg. Overbey gave the Vikings a 30-6 lead halfway through the third. After Glenn forced a three and out, Jones would not allow them to complete a pass as he picked off their first throw of the drive. With great field position, it was the big man Alber who fought his way to paydirt for his third TD of the night. After the Overbey PAT, Valley led 37-6 at the end of the third. Glenn would score on a 29 yard pass in the fourth quarter as the younger players got their reps to make the final score 37-14.
Overall the Vikings had 321 yards with 253 on the ground and 68 through the air. Trent Marshall led the way with 47 yards rushing. Dalton Alber, Cody Eastgate, and Brandon Stiles all had 42 rushing yards. Wade Jones had 27 rushing yards. Wyatt Hart picked up 19 rushing yards along with Wes Parker. Brock Derf had 15 rushing yards. Receiving was led by Jones who had 44 receiving yards. Kyler Johnson had a catch for 20 yards.
With the win, Valley remains undefeated on the year at 8-0 and looks to finish the season that way in the regular season finale against future INSC member Bremen. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm on Friday at Smith-Bibler Memorial Field for Senior Night.
