Veteran Benefits

Editor, Times-Union:
One of the first things I look at in the Times-Union is the obituaries of veterans’ funerals. Do they invite the Kosciusko County Veteran Service Officer (KCVSO), Mr. Darryl McDowell, to describe the benefits to the veteran and family members?
From the service - pall bearers, Taps, 21-gun salute, the folded flag - getting certificates from both the governor and the president and getting a marker. Finally getting reimbursement of burial expenses.
Hopefully, we won’t forget their sacrifices.
