October 5, 2023 at 8:00 p.m.

We are sad to announce the passing of Sally E. Wise, of Milford. She left this earth at age 85 on Oct. 3, 2023. Sally passed away surrounded by her loved ones.
Sally was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandma and great-grandma who was loved by everyone she met. She had the best smile and laugh.
Sally was born on Jan. 20, 1938, to Joseph and Doris Stouder in Nappanee. On Aug. 18, 1957, she married the love of her life, Robert F. Wise, of Milford.
Sally and Robert put their roots down in Milford, where they had four children: Scott, Sherrill, Angie and Vickie. She may have had four children but was a mom to many.
She served the community by working as a teacher assistant at Milford Schools for many years and served as a teacher at Milford United Methodist Nursery School.
Where you could find her children, you could also find Sally, as she was very involved in their lives. She wore many hats, including youth league coach, Boy Scout leader and Girl Scout leader.
The family fondly remembers the years of selling Girl Scout Cookies and all the tempting boxes of cookies that filled the room each year.
Sally had many different interests and hobbies. At any given time, you could find her doing arts and crafts, reading a great book, doing puzzle books, camping, watching her beloved Chicago Cubs or spending time with her family and friends.
She also loved family vacations, as she frequented many road trips that included destinations of northern Wisconsin, New Mexico, Florida and trip to Germany and Switzerland to visit her son and his family while he served in the military.
Everyone who knew Sally would rave about her talents in the kitchen, as she made a mean potato salad and Thanksgiving dressing among many other delicious dishes and treats.
She was active in her local church, serving the Christian Church of Milford in a multitude of ways.
Sally will be lovingly remembered by her children: Scott (Kaylon) Wise, Sherrill (Rod) Hamman, Angie Clement (Bruce) and Vicki (Albert) Smith. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and by two brothers, Jay (Barb) Stouder and Jim Stouder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and her sister, Kay Kemper.
To celebrate Sally’s life, there will be a visitation on Friday, Oct. 6 at Titus Funeral Home in Syracuse from 10 a.m. to noon with a memorial service at noon. Burial at Milford Cemetery will immediately follow.
Please make memorial donations to Grace Village Art Care. To leave a condolence, please visit www.TitusFuneralHome.com.
