Stanley J. Parzygnot

NORTH WEBSTER – Stanley J. Parzygnot, of Sechrist Lake, Leesburg, peacefully passed away at the Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, at the age of 89. He was born on Oct. 15, 1934, in Dixmoor, Ill. Stanley was a hardworking individual who earned the respect and admiration of those around him.
Throughout his career as a foreman, Stanley proved himself to be a skilled and reliable professional. He worked for the Harvey, Ill., Street Department for most of his career. His strong work ethic set an example for others to follow, and his contributions will never be forgotten.
Beyond his profession, Stanley had many interests that brought joy to his life. He was an avid fisherman and had a deep appreciation for vintage cars, especially ’50s cars. Stanley was a remarkable handyman. He could fix anything whether that be a small project or a large remodel.
Stanley enjoyed connecting with his neighbors and visiting in his spare time. He cherished their company and often engaged in conversations over a drink or two. His friendly nature and hospitable personality made him beloved by all who knew him.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Peggy; sons, Jack (Dena) Parzygnot and Gary (Jeanne) Parzygnot; grandchildren: Garrett Parzygnot, Jaclyn (Wesley) Wagner, Jett Plane and Jada Parzygnot; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Voni (Robert) Lindgren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Parzygnot Sr. and Lillian Eckwall (Irkulja); as well as his sister, Joann Wojciechowski.
Titus Funeral Home of North Webster is entrusted with the care of Stanley. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
