The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:
• 9:12 a.m. Tuesday - Douglas Alan Twomey, 48, Wabash, arrested for invasion of privacy. Bond: $1,500.
• 4:49 p.m. Tuesday - Gary M. Hinkle, 45, of 304 S. Rowland Ave., Leesburg, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Bond: $700.
• 5:35 a.m. Wednesday - Thomas Allen Books, 34, of 13473 N. Warner Road, Syracuse, arrested for child molesting - fondling or touching a child under 14 and intimidation drawing or using a weapon. Bond: $15,250.
• 6:59 a.m. Wednesday - Victor Joseph Waikel, 21, of 204 N. Perry St., Milford, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Bond: $5,250.
• 7:06 a.m. Wednesday - Brandon Jaymes Hattery, 30, of 455 E. Walnut St., Nappanee, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set.
• 12:39 p.m. Wednesday - Glennard James Anglemyer, 38, Michigan City, arrested for theft, theft of a vehicle and theft all other larceny. Bond: $5,250.

• 7:39 p.m. Tuesday - Ind. 13, 50 feet north of East CR 1400N, Syracuse. Pickup hit deer. Driver: Tyler J. Stringfellow, 25, East Rose Lane, Syracuse. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. Syracuse Police Department investigated.
• 8:21 p.m. Tuesday - Intersection of East U.S. 30 and East Old 30, Warsaw. Two-SUV collision. Drivers: Andrew T. Long, 17, EMS B28A Lane, Pierceton; Britney N. Ralstin, 42, North Superior Avenue, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 11:34 a.m. Tuesday - A hit-skip accident was reported in the 2100 block of Ind. 13, Pierceton. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated.
• 2:41 p.m. Tuesday - The theft of almost $14,000 was reported in the 600 block of West North Street, Syracuse. SPD.
