WCHS Band Christmas Concert Set For Dec. 12

The Warsaw Community High School Band Christmas Concert is set for Tuesday, Dec. 12 at the Warsaw Performing Arts Center, 1 Tiger Lane, Warsaw.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m. Admission is free, but free will donations will be accepted at the door for the Band Department.
The annual Christmas concert will feature the Percussion Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble and Combined Band. Each ensemble will perform one to two pieces in the context of this holiday season, according to a news release from the WCHS.
The Brass Ensemble will perform several infamous Christmas carols, and audience members will be invited to sing along as the band performs.
The Combined Band will feature all band students on two holiday pieces, “Celtic Carol” and a medley of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
WCHS students continually look forward to this opportunity each holiday season, as they are given the opportunity to showcase their skills to the community, the release states.

For the second straight season, the Warsaw boys soccer team’s regional semifinal match would not be determined in regular or extra time, instead needing penalty kicks to decide a winner.
