Carl R. Howard, 93, of rural Macy, died at 3:45 pm, Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, at Hickory Creek of Rochester.
Carl was born Aug. 25, 1930, in Kosciusko County, to O.C. and Dora Craft Howard. He was a graduate of Rochester High School in 1948. He was married on Aug. 3, 1973, in Cave City, Ill., to Nancy Keele Reed; she died Jan. 31, 2012.
The funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron. The interment will follow the service in the Athens Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made in Carl’s memory to the Fulton County Animal Center 1540 Wentzel St., Rochester, IN 46975.
