Huntington Woman Injured After Pickup Hits Pole

A Huntington woman was injured after her vehicle hit a utility pole on North CR 175E in Warsaw Monday.
According to the Warsaw Police Department accident report, at approximately 5:44 p.m. Monday, Jennifer L. Johnson, 30, Huntington, was driving a 2014 GMC Sierra south on North CR 175E approaching the intersection with East CR 75N. For an unknown reason, Johnson’s vehicle drove left of center and continued driving left, leaving the road and hitting a utility pole.
Lutheran EMS arrived on scene. Johnson was in and out of consciousness on scene and was unable to give a clear coherent statement on what happened. She was transported to a hospital for further medical evaluation. Johnson also suffered an abrasion to the upper arm.
Johnson’s vehicle sustained damage to the front rear bumper, a shattered front windshield and had airbag deployment.
According to the accident report, there was no evidence of Johnson of being under the influence of any intoxicants and there weren’t any impairments observed other than a possible medical issue. A portable breath test was unable to be offered due to Johnson’s state of consciousness.
Estimated damage was $25,000 to $50,000.
