Barbara A. Fisher

Barbara A. Fisher, of Warsaw, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at Grace Village Retirement Community at the age of 92.
Born on April 28, 1931, in Rantoul, Ill., Barbara was the daughter of Howard and Lola Beals Gephart.
Barbara graduated from Stiver High School and went on to complete her nursing education at Miami Valley School of Nursing in Dayton, Ohio, in 1951. It was there that she met her husband, Dale Fisher. The two married on Aug. 24, 1952. They shared 70 wonderful years together before his passing earlier this year in May.
Throughout her life, Barbara dedicated herself to providing care for others as a nurse. Her commitment to serving others extended beyond her professional career as she also embraced the role of a loving stay-at-home mom. Barbara's nurturing nature touched the lives of those around her. She taught Sunday school for her husband’s ministry and loved her role as a pastor’s wife. In her spare time, Barbara loved to read and tend to her garden. She was truly a saint and will be dearly missed.
Barbara's proudest accomplishments revolved around being a mom and grandmother. She is survived by her children: Deborah (Martin) Turkis, Mark (Debbie) Fisher, Craig (Vicki) Fisher, Cathy Longacre, Brenda (Jeff) Bolyard. Additionally, she was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren who enriched her life with joy. She was preceded in passing by her parents and husband, Dale.
Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with the care of Barbara and her family. Friends may join the family there, 2000 Sheridan St., Warsaw, on Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Steve Rahn officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Dale, at Oakwood Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
Memorials may be given to Baptist Mid-Missions, 7749 Webster Road, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130.
