Valley Entomology Team Starts Season With First Place

The Tippecanoe Valley Entomology team has had an amazing start to their season, according to a news release provided. The team placed first at the Triton High School Invitational and the Northwestern High School Invitational with students placing top 10 individuals at each contest. At the Area 10 contest held on Nov. 14, the team placed second in the FFA division and third overall with Trista Van Doren placing first individual in the FFA division. They will be competing at the state contest Dec. 9 at Purdue University. The team is coached by Hope Slagle, Tippecanoe Valley FFA advisor. Patrick J. Flanagan, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at the age of 79.
