Girls Basketball
Warsaw at DAC/NLC Shootout

It was a very successful weekend for Warsaw girls basketball, as the Lady Tigers got back over .500 with two wins on Saturday over Crown Point and Merrillville at the DAC/NLC Shootout. Warsaw is now 3-2 this winter.
In the team’s 65-44 win over Crown Point, Joslyn Bricker had a fantastic game shooting the ball, finishing with 20 points on 9-12 shooting. Brooke Winchester added a double-double, scoring 17 points and adding 10 rebounds. Brooke Zartman scored 13 points.
In Warsaw’s second game of the day, an 81-63 win over Merrillville, three different players scored at least 20 points, led by Zartman with 26. Bricker had 23 and eight rebounds, and Winchester put together her second double-double of the day with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lady Tigers return home for their next game on Tuesday against Penn.
Triton at Wawasee
Wawasee earned its second win in as many days on Saturday, defeating Triton 39-33 at home over the weekend. The Lady Warriors are now 6-1 this season, while Triton falls to 1-4.
Mackenzie Hackleman led Wawasee in scoring with 13 points while Ava Couture added 12. Triton’s Addyson Viers scored 13 points in the game and reached the 1,000 points milestone for her career.
Triton plays its next game Tuesday night at NorthWood while Wawasee is off until after Thanksgiving and will play at West Noble on 11/28.
John Glenn at Tippecanoe Valley
Tippecanoe Valley got back to its winning ways on Saturday evening, defeating John Glenn 44-24 at home. The Lady Vikings are now 6-1 this season.
Gaby Gonzalez continued what has been a very good week for the sophomore, leading the team with 14 points while also grabbing four steals. Kelsey Cox also finished in double figures, ending the night with 12 points. Chesnee Miller scored eight.
Valley will face off against Rochester at home on Tuesday night.
Winamac at Manchester
Manchester was able to pick up a weekend win on Saturday, defeating Winamac 64-48 at home. The Lady Squires are now 3-3 this winter.
Brookelynn Buzzard led the team in scoring once again, finishing with 22 points. Buzzard filled up the score sheet, also adding seven rebounds and five assists. Hadley West scored 12 points while Emma Walker added 10.
Manchester also played on Friday night, falling 66-45 to Mississinewa. Buzzard scored 16 points in that one while Gracie Lauer added 14.
The Lady Squires are back in action Saturday night at home against Oak Hill.
Whitko at Southern Wells
It was a great night for the Whitko offense on Saturday, as the Lady ‘Cats exploded for 68 points in a 68-33 win over Southern Wells. Whitko is now 4-2 this season.
Four different players finished in double digits scoring for the Lady ‘Cats, led by Adriyanna Phillips with 20. Kloe Krieg added 13, Jayma Stonebreaker poured in 12, while Braisha Harrison rounded out the top scorers with 10.
Whitko is back at home on Tuesday night against Heritage.
