Lincoln School

Editor, Times-Union:
On Friday, November 10, I went to Lincoln Elementary School to read to first-graders as part of a United Way program. When I arrived that morning, the students were all in the gym for a Veterans Day program. I walked down to the gym to watch, and I honestly had a few tears in my eyes as I listened to the children singing a song to vets that were there sitting out in the middle of the gymnasium.
What a great job they did. I want to thank the principal, and the music teacher, and all involved who planned this event! What a beautiful thing to see us honoring our veterans, AND teaching our kids gratitude and respect.
Good job, Lincoln Lions!

Sheriff Addressed Issues In The Jail Since Taking Office
Once taking office I knew how important it was going to be to have the right leadership in every division of the office, and the jail was certainly no exception. Upon taking office, I appointed Lt.
