The Kosciusko Kettleheads held their 12th annual HomebrewFest Sept. 23. Over 30 different beers and ciders were poured, which were all made by local homebrewers.
Proceeds from the event, which totaled $13,282.66, were donated to Combined Community Services, as well as sponsorship donations from Lewis Salvage, Maple Leaf Farms, Cerulean, Crossroads Bank, Blue Note Design and The Spectacle Shoppe.
The same day, a group of Kettleheads poured at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary in Albion as part of the Lions, Tigers and Beers fundraiser.
"The event was the biggest yet, exceeding past years by $10,000. Without the support of brewers such as the Kettleheads (a favorite amongst our guests), Black Pine would be unable to raise the funds necessary to support the sanctuary," said Black Pine Executive Director Trish Nichols.
