Local High School Sports Recaps For Veteran's Day Weekend

Girls Basketball
Northwestern at Tippecanoe Valley

Tippecanoe Valley continued its winning ways on Saturday evening, defeating Northwestern 67-29 at home. The Lady Vikings are now 4-0 this season with all four wins coming by double digits.
Carlee Snyder had a big game for Valley, leading her team with 15 points while also adding two blocks. Gaby Gonzlez and Ava Smith each had eleven points for the Lady Vikings. Dalynne Bussard had eight points.
Tippecanoe Valley is on the road Tuesday evening for a contest against NorthWood.
Maconaquah at Manchester
Manchester picked up its first win of the season over the weekend, defeating Maconaquah 60-53 at home on Saturday. The Lady Squires are now 1-2 this season, 1-1 in the Three Rivers Conference.
Leading the charge for Manchester was Brookelynn Buzzard with her 20 points and seven rebounds. Gracie Lauer had a double-double, finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Peyton Ream was the third Lady Squire in double figures, finishing her night with eleven and seven rebounds.
Manchester is on the road Tuesday evening against Adams Central.
Whitko at Churubusco
Whitko got back into the win column on Saturday, defeating Churubusco 53-46 on the road. The Lady ‘Cats are now 2-2 this winter.
It wasn’t the only contest for Whitko over the weekend, as the Lady ‘Cats fell 74-25 to Columbia City on Friday night.
Whitko’s next game will be played Tuesday night on the road at Peru as the Lady ‘Cats begin Three Rivers Conference play.
Westview at Wawasee
Wawasee picked up yet another early-season win on Friday night, defeating Westview 43-31 at home. The Lady Warriors are now 3-1 this season.
Mackenzie Hackleman had a huge night for Wawasee, finishing her evening with 18 points and seven steals, both team highs. Olivia Horn got into double figures as well, finishing with 14 points and five rebounds.
Wawasee is back at home Tuesday night with the Lady Warriors taking on Lakeland.
South Central at Triton
Triton was unable to win its second game in a row on Friday night, falling 45-34 to South Central (Union Mills) at home. The Lady Trojans are now 1-2 this winter.
Addyson Viers led her team in both points and rebounds, finishing with 20 and eight. Jocelynn Faulkner finished with seven points and five rebounds for Triton,
The Lady Trojans are on the road for their next game on Thursday night against Plymouth.
Warsaw at Fort Wayne Snider
Warsaw dropped its second straight game of the early season on Thursday, falling 52-49 to Fort Wayne Snider. The Lady Tigers are now 1-2 this winter.
Warsaw had three players finish in double figures, led by Alexis Neely and Josyln Bricker, who both finished with 14. Bricker also led the team in assists with four. Brook Winchester had another double-double, finishing with 13 points and eleven rebounds.
The Lady Tigers are off this week before competing at the DAC/NLC Shootout against Crown Point and Merrillville on Saturday.
