Mentor Media hosted a grand opening and ribbon-cutting for its new facility on Thursday, with several prominent members from the community in attendance.
Mentor Media Chief Executive Officer and President Lim Kok Khoon and Elanders Group CEO and President Magnus Nilsson were both present at the grand opening.
Program Executive Rachel Rozow welcomed everyone in attendance and introduced a list of speakers for the grand opening ceremony of the global supply chain's facility in Warsaw.
Speakers for the event included Kosciusko Economic Development Company CEO Alan Tio, Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer, state Rep. Craig Snow, Khoon, Indiana Secretary of Commerce David Rosenberg and Nilsson.
Tio spoke first, stating the importance of the orthopedic industry and how this company will further its development in Kosciusko County. "This global supply chain company will help support our community by providing an asset such as this to our orthopedic companies."
Thallemer thanked everyone for coming and talked a little about the process of how Mentor Media came to reside in Warsaw.
"I sat down with representatives from Mentor Media a little over a year ago. They expressed their interest in working with the city of Warsaw and KEDCO to find a home here in Warsaw, and now we are here ... They have developed an efficiency in their craft and showed us how they could help the orthopedic industry here," Thallemer said. "On behalf of the Orthopedic Capital of the World, welcome to 1395 Polk Drive, Warsaw. You will love it here."
Rozow thanked Thallemer and Tio for speaking and welcoming Mentor Media with so much support.
Snow said, "I have worked hard championing orthopedics at the state level and I am excited to see another company coming in to support orthopedics in Indiana. I wish Mentor Media only growth and prosperity."
Khoon flew from Singapore to be at the grand opening, saying, "Thank you everyone for being here. I believe without question, we are meant to be here in Warsaw, Indiana."
Rosenberg talked about the importance of companies like Mentor Media finding their home here in Indiana and how it contributes to the growth of the economy and Indiana's success on a global scale.
Nilsson flew from Sweden to be at the grand opening and spoke about how proud he was to be here in Warsaw and excited to see the support from the city, county and state.
He closed by saying, "I hope to see the facility full with lots of activity the next time I visit."
Rozow closed out the ceremony by thanking everyone for coming and the support everyone has given to the company.
"We will return this support the community has given us with more employment opportunities and furthering the growth of the orthopedic capital of the world,” Rozow said.
