Jane E. Hill, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, has sadly passed away. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing on Oct. 30, 2023, at home on Barbee Lake.
Jane was born on April 6, 1948, in Warsaw. She spent her formative years in Pierceton and graduated from Pierceton High School. Throughout her life, Jane held a deep love for her family and enjoyed spending quality time with them. She cherished even the smallest of moments spent with them, creating lasting memories which her family will treasure forever.
Jane worked for the town of Pierceton as the deputy clerk-treasurer for over 30 years. In addition to her career and devotion to family, Jane had a vibrant array of hobbies and interests. Living on the lake provided her with great pleasure, she loved being outside soaking in the sunshine as much as possible and getting out on her pier to fish. She was also delighted in attending her grandchildren's school and sporting events, always ensuring she was present to support them. Furthermore, Jane enjoyed traveling to Michigan each summer and special trips to Anna Maria Island and Disney with her family.
Jane E. Hill will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her caring nature, unwavering dedication and love for her family were qualities that made a profound impact on those around her.
Jane is survived by the love of her life, Terry D. Hill, of Barbee Lake, with whom she shared more than 58 years; their bond was unbreakable, serving as an inspiration to all who witnessed their relationship. She also leaves behind two sons, Chad Hill, of Warsaw; and Chip Hill (wife, Anne), of Pierceton; five grandchildren: Doug (wife, Hannah), Morgan, Macey, Jack and Kennedy Hill; brother, Edward Ewing (wife, Candy); and brother-in-law, Jan Zolman. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Edward and Betty Ewing; and two siblings, Joyce Zolman and Mark Ewing.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Warsaw, 2000 Sheridan St., Warsaw, is entrusted with care of Jane and the Hill family. To honor the life of Jane E. Hill, friends may gather at the funeral home to support the family on Friday, Nov. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. Immediately following the visitation, a rosary/prayer service will be held at the same location beginning at 8 p.m.
Memorial gifts are appreciated in lieu of flowers; gifts may be given to Heart to Heart Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home. The Hill family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the amazing nurses and aides from Heart to Heart who helped take wonderful care of Jane and were a great support to the family.
