Thomas Matako, 67, of Warsaw, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Lutheran Fort Wayne.

Thomas was born on Jan. 24, 1956, in Highland Park, Mich., the son of Albert and Mary Holston Matako. He was united in marriage to Linda Beall on Jan. 1, 2020.

He worked as a commercial truck driver who eventually retired. Thomas enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his wife Linda and loved his family. He also loved camping, fishing, woodworking, and traveling.

Thomas will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda, of Warsaw; daughters, Nicole (Jeff) Sharp, of Lapeer, Mich.; and Jamie (Kevin) Raymond, of Vassar, Mich.; a son, Thomas (Brianna) Matako, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; stepson, Jeremy (Kristina) Chapman, of Frankfort; a brother, Andy (Cindy) Matako, of Marshall, Mich.; sisters, Janet (Dean) Nichols, of Reese, Mich.; and Sue Matako, of Bellevue, Mich.; grandchildren: Hannah Sharp, Anthony Sharp, Ryan Sharp, Jacob Sharp, Joseph Sharp, Chloe Nolasco, Hunter Raymond, Cody Marcinko, Katie Chapman and Joshua Chapman. He was preceded in passing by both parents; a brother, Gary Matako; and two sisters, Mary VanAlst and Sandra Wyotta.

A visitation with family and friends will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. on May 20 at Kempf Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services 723 U.S. 27 North, Marshall, Mich.
