WCHS Announces 2023-24 Cheer Block Leadership Team

By Staff Report-

WARSAW - The Warsaw Community Schools Athletic Department is excited to announce the student leadership team selections for the 2023-24 cheer block. Interested students applied during March and a committee selection process was completed in April. Please help us welcome the slate of officers for the 2023-24 school year: Olivia Robinson-Gay (President), Ben Reust (Vice President), Lizzy Martinez (Public Relations), Ebonie Miller (Secretary), Meredith Bowald (Treasurer).

The student leadership team will help organize and promote student involvement in a wide variety of extra and co-curricular WCHS student activities. Local sponsorships, including primary sponsor SYM financial, have enabled all WCHS students to be provided free all-sports passes. SYM and other financial sponsors do not determine cheer block themes, specific

activities or selection of student leaders. The goal of SYM’s sponsorship is simply to encourage student attendance at all Tiger events by removing the cost factor.

The mission of the cheer block leadership team is to help organize students through planning of spirit themes, competitions, cheer block t-shirt designs, coordination with band/cheerleaders and communication.

The Athletic Department looks forward to working with this 2023-24 student leadership team to promote school spirit, support Warsaw teams and groups, and represent WCHS at events.

Leadership meetings have already begun and this team looks forward to supporting our spring sports along with providing information leading into the fall seasons.
