Baseball

Warsaw at Garrett Tournament


The Warsaw Tigers baseball team split its two games played at the Garrett Tournament Saturday morning, picking up a 9-1 win over Concordia while also falling 5-2 to Garrett. The Tigers are now 13-10-1 this season.

Cohen Heady had two RBIS on three hits during the Tigers’ victory over Concordia. Hunter Dippon also had three hits, including the lone double for Warsaw. Kyle Showley was magnificent on the mound, striking out 10 in seven innings to pick up the win. Josh Reihl went 1-1 with an RBI and a run scored in the game against Garrett.

Warsaw is on the road Monday evening at Concord.

Wawasee at West Noble

Wawasee picked up a much needed victory Saturday on the road at West Noble, picking up an 8-2 victory. The Warriors are now 3-17 this season.

Kaleb Salazar carried the load offensively, going 2-3 on the day with three runs driven in. Salazar also picked up the win on the mound, giving up just three hits and striking out eight in 5.2 innings of work. Kane Dukes and Josh Patterson each scored two runs for the Warriors.

Wawasee is back at home Monday evening for a game against conference foe Goshen.

Tippecanoe Valley vs. Boone Grove

Tippecanoe Valley faced off against Boone Grove at the Culver Academies Tournament Saturday morning, losing 10-0. The Vikings are now 8-8 this spring. Valley will look to get back into the win column Monday night at home against Northfield.

Whitko vs. Elwood

Whitko took on Elwood at the Big Cat Classic Saturday morning, coming away with a 11-0 win in five innings. The Wildcats are now 15-4 this season.

Riley Harman and Jaxson Harper each drove in two runs for Whitko. Harper led the team in hits with two while Harman got the win on the mound, striking out eight in four innings of work.

The Wildcats are back in action Monday evening at home against Manchester.

Softball

Warsaw/Manchester/Triton at Lady Tiger Tournament


Due to field conditions stemming from Friday night’s rain, the Lady Tiger Tournament was cancelled Saturday morning. No intentions to make the tournament up have been announced.

Tippecanoe Valley at Central Noble

Tippecanoe Valley was unable to pick up a win on the road Saturday morning, falling 7-3 to Central Noble. The Lady Vikings are now 11-6 this season. Valley will look to pick up a win Monday night at home against Northfield.

Golf

Tippecanoe Valley/Manchester/Whitko at Three Rivers Conference Championships


The final Three Rivers Conference golf tournament for Tippecanoe Valley was a successful one, as the Vikings finished in second place, 16 strokes behind champion Northfield. Manchester took fifth place while Whitko finished tenth.

Valley’s Greg Miller (76) and Wes Parker (79) each earned top five finishes and were awarded with all-conference honors for their performances. Manchester’s Connor Trump was the highest finishing Squire at eleven after shooting an 84. Whitko was led by a 100 from Noah Bursworth.
