Local High School Sports Recaps For 5/12

Plymouth at Warsaw
A game between Warsaw and Plymouth that was suspended due to weather on Monday was finished on Thursday evening, with Plymouth pulling away for a 17-4 victory in five innings. The Lady Tigers are now 2-15 this season, 2-8 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
Taylor Myers had two hits and drove in a run. Lauren Eastwood went 2-3 with a double and two RBIs. Aubrey Sparks also drove in a run for Warsaw.
The Lady Tigers will play host at the Lady Tiger Tournament at Warsaw Saturday morning.
Southwood at Whitko
Whitko was unable to make it two wins in a row playing against Southwood Thursday night, falling 4-2 at home. The Lady ‘Cats are now 2-12 this season, 1-5 in the Three Rivers Conference.
Cassidy Skinner went 2-2 at the plate with a double, scoring a run in the process. Kaylee Adkins had two hits and a run driven in. Addie Garr went 1-3 with an RBI. Garr also struck out nine on the mound in five innings of work.
The Lady ‘Cats host Maconaquah Saturday morning.
Triton at Caston
Triton struggled getting the offense going in a 6-0 loss to Caston Thursday evening. The Lady Trojans are now 2-17 this season, 2-4 in the Hooiser North Athletic Conference. Triton will be back in action Saturday morning at Warsaw’s Lady Tiger Tournament.
Tennis
Tippecanoe Valley at Southwood
Tippecanoe Valley earned a dominant win Thursday night, defeating Southwood 5-0 on the road.
No. 1 singles player Karegan Calahan won 6-2,6-0. Lydia Miller dominated her No. 2 singles match with a 6-0, 6-1 win. No. 3 Talia Holder did the same, winning 6-0, 6-0. The No. 2 doubles pairing of Kylee Trepanier and Madelyn Weaver won 6-1, 6-1.
Valley is scheduled to face off against Elkhart Saturday morning.
