Tippecanoe Valley senior Kaydence Mellott was surrounded by family as she signed her letter of intent to play basketball at Franklin College next season. The two-time reigning Times-Union girls basketball player of the year was originally committed to Indiana University?Kokomo but decommitted after a coaching change. With the addition of Mellott, Franklin has now signed four players in this year’s Indiana top 60. Mellott averaged 19.3 points in her senior season, leading the Lady?Vikings to their second Semi-State appearance in school history.
