NORTH MANCHESTER – Shella K. Good, 54, Liberty Mills, passed through the gates of heaven on April 28, 2023.

The daughter of Ernest and Hazel Castle Bradley, Shella was born on Sept. 7, 1968, in Prestonsburg, Ky.

While growing up in North Manchester, Shella attended Sweetwater Church of God. She graduated from Manchester High School in 1987 and from Manchester College in 1991 with bachelor’s degrees in business and psychology. She entered the workforce in Fort Wayne at Lincoln Life before being transferred to Greeley, Colo., where she worked as a financial advisor. Shella then earned her master’s degree and PhD in psychology. After receiving her PhD she became a school psychologist.

Even while living so far away from home, Shella kept her family close. In 1997, she married Greg Good in a castle in the South of France. Though their marriage didn’t work out, the two remained close friends.

Shella was a bright and beautiful woman with a vast love for her family and friends. She found much comfort and peace being in nature and the beauty that it brings. A kind and beautiful soul, Shella believed that every creature should be treated with compassion. Even in death, Shella helped two people with the gift of sight by being a donor. She never had any children but loved her nieces and nephew like they were her own.

The loving memory of Shella K. Good will be forever cherished by her mother, Hazel Bradley, Liberty Mills; sisters, Cristal (Todd) Brewer, North Manchester; Charlotte Bradley, South Bend; and Melissa (Dennis) Byers, Claypool; nieces: Heather (Chris) Schuler, Devin (Brad) DeLong, Noelle (Dylin) Kennedy, Abby Morse, Madison Burton and Andrea Morse; and 15 great-nieces and great-nephews. Shella was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Bradley; grandparents: Elias and Viola Bradley and Carew and Nora Castle; and nephew, Jacob Burton.

A gathering to celebrate Shella’s life will be held on Sunday, May 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114 West, North Manchester. A private burial will take place at the family’s private cemetery in Kentucky.

The family of Shella Good has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
