Al served his country as a Marine and fought in the Korean War, earning a Purple Heart.
He married Dottie in Indianapolis.
A celebration of life will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio, Friday, May 12 at Spring Grove Funeral Home, 4389 Spring Grove Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio. Visitation is at 1 p.m. with service at 2 p.m. A casual “Al style” Lake Wawasee Celebration will be held Saturday, July 8 at W.A.C.F, 11586 N. Ind. 13, Syracuse, beginning at 3 p.m.
