CMA Hosting Run For The Son May 6

The Blood Bought Bikers, one of the CMA chapters, will be participating in the run. The BBB chapter is hosting its event at the Atwood Community Building.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Atwood Community Building, with breakfast and a silent auction afterward. Donations are being sought for the auction. The run will start at 11 a.m.
While the exact course hasn’t been set yet, the ride is approximately 100 miles around Kosciusko County, which will be police escorted, said Haley Donahue, committee member for the run.
Donahue said she hopes those who participate in the run get awareness of what CMA does, as the run is more about spreading awareness than about the money they want to raise.
From the money raised during the run, 20% goes for Bibles and Christian training materials to closed and restricted countries; 20% goes for transportation to native pastors around the world; 20% goes to help Jesus Film Project spread the word of God; and 40% is used by CMA to help reach motorcyclist in the United States and internationally, according to Donahue.
Last year, CMA raised about $10,000. If they raise about $15,000, CMA National will donate a motorcycle to a missionary.
CMA’s mission is to inspire leaders and members to be the most organized, advanced, equipped, financially stable organization, full of integrity in the motorcycling industry and the Kingdom of God, according to their website. During Run for the Son, CMA partners with ministries with world-reaching potential.
She said there’s usually 40 to 45 motorcycles at the run every year, with the most they’ve ever had around 70. She would like to see around 100 motorcycles participate in this year’s event.
