Dolores “Pinky” E. Knouff,  age 97, of Warsaw, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Season Home Care, Warsaw.

Dolores was born March 9, 1926, in Kosciusko County, the daughter of the late Howard and Ora Grimes Knouff.

During her childhood and high school years, her family lived in the Warsaw and Winona Lake area. During the depression era, her father moved the family to Alabama for about a year after which they returned to this area. She was known to be a hard worker and very frugal, paying cash for her first house in 1972. She retired as an office employee for Rodeheaver Publishing Company. Pinky loved playing cards with her friends.  She was a self-taught accomplished pianist, a member at the Church of God for many years, and the music director in the late ’50s.

Dolores will be lovingly remembered by her nephews: Rick D. Cook, of North Webster; Roger Knouff, of Larwill; Steve Knouff  and Bruce Knouff, both of Warsaw; and niece, Cindy Knouff, of Warsaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by three sisters and three brothers.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 24 in Salem Cemetery, Wilmot, located at 11200 CR 325S, Cromwell. Pastor Jerry Yoder will be officiating the service.

The family kindly request the memorial donations to Animal Welfare League, 1048 S. 325 E., Pierceton, IN 46562.
