NOTICE TO BIDDERS

OWNER:  City of Warsaw, Indiana

PROJECT:  Downtown Street Light Installation

    Notice is hereby given that the Board of Public Works and Safety acting on behalf of the City of Warsaw, will receive sealed bids for the above described “Project/Work” at the office of the Clerk Treasurer, 102 S. Buffalo Street, Warsaw, Indiana (City Hall) until 10:30 a.m. April 6, 2023. Bid Opening will take place shortly thereafter at the regularly schedule Board of Works meeting where all sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers of City Hall.

    All bids and proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the proposal forms provided with the contract documents, which will include the non-collusion affidavit as required by the State of Indiana. The bid envelope must be sealed and have the words:

“SEALED BID ENCLOSED – DOWNTOWN STREET LIGHT INSTALLATION”

    A bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid must be submitted with each bid. A one hundred percent (100%) performance, a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond and a five percent (5%) maintenance bond will also be required of the successful bidder.

    The project/work shall consist of, but not necessarily limited to, the following:  providing all equipment, materials, and labor for installation of new decorative street light poles with fixtures throughout the City’s downtown blocks.  There are up to 53 total lights to be placed, mostly on the existing foundations.   It is intended that this work shall be started in Spring of 2023 and finish by October 2023.

    Contract Documents for the Project have been assembled into one or more bound project manuals, which may be ordered by contacting City Engineer, Aaron Ott, through the email address [email protected] or by calling the Office of Building and Planning at (574) 372-9550.  Any questions should be directed to Dustin Dillon, Superintendent of Public Works, at (574) 372-9561 or Aaron Ott, City Engineer, at (574) 372-9550.

    The awarded Contractor and all subcontractors will be required to comply with required Federal and State labor regulations.  The City of Warsaw, Indiana, reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or parts there-of and to waive all responsibility for irregularities in bids.
